You Know You Can Be Rich
You’ve seen it since you were a young child. The “others” who seem to have everything they need and want. They drive the coolest cars, live in the nicest, biggest homes and always have money for whatever fancy crosses their minds. You KNOW you CAN be rich because you see affluence all around you. You may even have had friends growing up that had whatever they wanted. You really don’t believe their parents were smarter than yours. Even if you don’t make up excuses like “they inherited the money” or they ripped people off to get where they are, you still think there’s a gap between them and you.
That gap, my friend, is BELIEF!
Why Aren’t You Rich Now?
We human beings are built funny. Why do we assume what has happened to us in the past MUST continue into the future? Is it a defense mechanism or some strange curse? Sometimes it’s as easy as figuring somebody else is doing something we’re not and become preoccupied with learning what it is. Other times, we just become so disappointed with our lack of success we figure why try if it’s only going to lead to more disappointment.
I’m here to tell you that these two examples (and a whole host of others) are really only a symptom of the problem. The real problem is you just don’t believe you will ever be rich!
Check Me On This
Take a few minutes to try this visualization exercise.
Whatever you’re doing right now, stop it and sit down for a couple of minutes. Close your eyes and begin breathing in and out through your nose very deeply and slowly. After you feel you’ve settled into this, I want you to imagine yourself rich. Don’t just say it, feel it. Imagine all the things the rich you would be surrounded with. What does your house look like? Take a mental tour through it and think about what’s in each room. What kind of car or other vehicle do you drive? What color? What options? What about your family? How do they look to you since you’ve become rich? Can you feel the deep connection to this new you?
Spend some time just feeling these feelings before you open your eyes. You may want to sit still for a few minutes afterwards just to let the experience settle into you.
What’s That Sound?
If you heard some creaking while you were doing this, it was your imagination muscle being flexed. Imagination is a key skill that’s highly developed in all super successful and wealthy individuals. I’m not saying that everybody who’s had tremendous success imagined it perfectly right down to the last detail either. What I am saying is they had a pretty clear idea of what success meant to them when they started out. That’s why their successes often very closely resemble what their intention was for it. It may have turned out different than they first imagined but that almost always means it turned out BETTER than they first thought it would.
You CAN Learn This Skill
I’m not going to tell you that it’s easy or there’s some secret mantra you can mutter that will bring all your dreams to your doorstep. This is mindful and intentional practice that you can do daily to help you firmly set your intentions out into the universe. It’s been said we become what we focus on so why not focus on what you want instead of what you don’t want? I first learned the power of this in Trevor Blake’s book, “Three Simple Steps” and it’s made a real impression on me. I highly recommend you pick up a copy of it and give it a read. I think you’ll find that one going in your library for future reference quite readily!
Ok, so you’re setting daily intentions and really imagining yourself rich. How long should this take?
Short answer: as long as it takes. This is not a “think about something and it instantly appears” new-age nonsense. It’s using the power of quantum physics to create a change that you desire. The simple fact is it WILL happen. People that have used intentions successfully will attest to how they made the critical difference in their successes. Yes, taking action and hard work are going to come into play but how hard are you working right now? Is that all there is to it?
What Have You Got To Lose?
At the very least, you will have set a thought in your head that excludes negativity and allows you to spend some time every day in a very pleasant place. If your success or wealth takes years where’s the harm in that? I especially recommend you try Trevor’s “Taking Quiet Time” (not an affiliate link) audio first thing every morning. It takes about 30 minutes. Try it for a few weeks and I guarantee it will make a difference in your mindset and life. If your intentions come true in that time, all the better! LOL!
