An About Me Page On Steroids
I have decided I would like you to know exactly who it is you’re dealing with here. Sure, I’ve written an About Me page but that is really just an outline with the high points but I know that’s not enough. I know whenever I land on somebody’s site the first thing I want to know is what sort of person they are, their likes, dislikes, experience and life views at a bare minimum. For this reason, I’m going to be adding a series of posts called “My Story” followed by a time frame (like birth through elementary school, for instance) so you can navigate whichever part or parts of my story you feel most relevant. Some of you will want the “whole enchilada” and others will only focus on today. No matter which part of this interests you, I want to make the writing as clear and concise as possible so as not to belabor any point or bore you to tears. I’ll also be adding a My Story category for the blog so you can find them even easier!
What Will The Basic Structure Be?
Glad you asked-LOL! For each post, I will try to focus on a roughly ten year period of time. I’ll try to keep it fairly formulaic but still very narrative. I’ll bring out the major lessons learned, failures and overall mindset during each of the periods. I’ll try to keep the tone light and hopeful as much as possible. However, I can’t guarantee that some of this won’t be painful for me to write and likewise for you to read! I will NOT be sugar-coating or diluting anything but neither will I be catastrophising minor incidents. It will be my best attempt at telling the story as I see it and not as I believe you want to hear it.
Why Would I Want To Read This?
It is my hope after reading this series you’ll see if I have something I can offer you to help you in your journey towards a better business and life. If you do, I would love for you to engage with me by signing up for my newsletter, commenting, or finding me on twitter and following me. If not, no harm done and I appreciate you taking the time to see if we’re a fit or not. No hard feelings. I’d still like for you to grab my free Five Minute Mental Tune-Up audio and see if it helps you. You can unsubscribe immediately after downloading. I just want you to try the exercise and see if it can help you.
Anything Else I Should Know?
I’ll be writing one of these posts per week for the next five or so weeks. This should get us both up to the present day. I’ll try to keep the length to less than 1000 words as much as possible so they are a quick read. I would appreciate your feedback by commenting as much as you feel driven to do so. That will help me focus the content so it is the most useful to you. The same goes for any questions that arise from any of the posts. Either ask me a question via a comment or you can go straight to my contact page and ask me there.
I hope that you will find value in these posts! I also hope they will help you decide I’m somebody you can relate to and engage with. If there is anything I can do to help you in the mean time, don’t hesitate to contact me!
Jeff
Can’t wait to hear more from your story Jeff. You have been a great teacher for me since day 1. Best.
Thanks, Soli! It still means a lot for me to hear you say that! I think you’ll know a lot more about me before the series is complete.
