What’s Success With Focus All About?
Over the years, I’d followed numerous “gurus” and methods to try to bring useful, actionable information to my readers while still finding some way to make a living from it.
I failed miserably!
Not because I was a spammer, scammer or online crook of any kind. It was mainly because I never took the time to ask myself what was most important to me and how could I use that passion to help others who were struggling. When I say struggling, I’m not talking specifically in a monetary sense. Sure, not being able to find something that means something to you often translates into failure for any project or business spawned from it. That’s why my definition of struggling was expanded to mean losing the day to day battle for clarity and purpose. The game seems to change every day for us and it can be a real effort staying mindful of what’s important to us. The buddhists call this constant change impermanance. They believe the only way to thrive is to embrace these changes and learn to stay focused and centered in spite of them.
I’ve had both ups and downs since starting with internet marketing in 2008. I’ve worked with people who believed setting up a bunch of sites was the only real online business model. Others who thought pouring your soul into one vehicle was the only way. I’ve tried both and finally arrived at my current business model. That model is to completely commit to one project at a time until it is successful. Then, begin another project with the same zeal as the last. Each time, nurturing the business until I see success or know I’ve done all I can before shutting it down. This site is a perfect example of that approach. I want to tell you what to expect. That way, you’ll know if you want to come with me on this journey.
What You’ll Find On Success With Focus
I’ll show you the things that are helping me right now to increase my focus and effectiveness. There will be posts about meditation, visualization, mindset, productivity, mental health, physical health and a number of other topics suggested by you or current discoveries in a field. There will be short videos that focus on one topic only. My goal is to keep them around five minutes but that can be flexible due to your interest or the subject matter. I also will be starting a weekly podcast that will stick to the same formula: short but effective.
As the podcast gains traction, I’ll begin reaching out to thought leaders for interviews. Just like my friend John Lee Dumas of the Entrepreneur On Fire podcast, the interviews will be a standard set of questions asked to each guest so you always know what to expect. I think the guests will appreciate that too. I’ll try to keep these to a length that allows you to get to know them without feeling like you’ve overstayed your welcome.
Once you’ve gotten the lessons you need to find what truly inspires you, I won’t leave you spinning your wheels. I’ll be adding content to help you get things done quicker and more efficiently. If there’s somebody absolutely crushing it, I’ll find out what’s working for them and let you know about it.
The main focus of all of the content will be to help you find what truly inspires you and be able to build a life and business around it.
One Last Thing You Should Know About Me
I’m goofy. Since I was young, I’ve always enjoyed laughing and making people laugh. Humor has always been important to me. Somehow along the way, I lost some of that but I will get it back! Look for som possibly silly stuff from time to time. I hope it will help you to relax and see things aren’t as bad as they seem.
Site Under Construction – Hard Hat Required
Anybody that’s built a blog of any size knows they don’t just appear out of thin air. Success With Focus is no different! So, keep an eye out for weekly and daily changes to the site. I believe it’s much better to launch something that’s not perfect and course correct than it is to wait until something is perfect (read never) to launch. Please stop back soon and often to see what magic I’ve done since your last visit!
All in all, I think you’ll find some amazingly helpful stuff here!
Leave me a comment below or use the contact form or twitter to say hi. The most important thing is that you say hi and let me know what you struggle with and what you’d like to see covered on this blog. This blog is for and about you. I look forward to meeting you and helping you any way I can!
